Childs Place – Nursery Prospectus

Happidayz Now Has 6 Themed Rooms

1. Butterfly room                        (0 – 1 year)
2. Buttercup Room                    (1 – 2 years)
3. Buzzy Bee Room                    (2 – 3 years)
4. Ladybird Blue Room            (5 years)
5. Ladybird Red Room             (3 – 5 years)
6. Caterpillar Room                   (5- 13 years)

Butterfly Room 0 – 1 Year, aka Baby Room

The Butterfly Room is equipped to care for up to 9 babies from birth to 12 months.

The room is totally self sufficient having its own toilets, baby changing facilities and mini kitchenette.

The Staff to Child ratio is 1:3, that is one Staff member to 3 Babies, plus an extra pair of hands when the need arises.

Buttercup 1 – 2 Years, aka Toddler Room

The Buttercup Room is registered for 12 Children and the ratio is 1:3 just like the Butterfly Room.

Babies are introduced to the Buttercup Room from the age of 12 months and stay in the room until they approach
their 2nd Birthdays. This room is fully catered for except that Children are taken to the toilet as and when required.

Buzzy Bee 2 – 3 Years

This room accepts 2 year olds. The ratio is 1:4, one Staff member caring for 4 Children. This room is large enough to hold 28 Children and is registered for that amount of Children.

Toddlers are introduced from the age of 2 years and stay in this room until their 3rd Birthday.

Ladybird Blue Room 3 – 5 years

The Ladybird Room cares for 3 year olds up to the time they are ready for leaving us to go into full-time education at Primary School. Children leave us once a year to start Primary School in September. That is the only intake a School is allowed.

The Ladybird Room is equipped for forty Children aged 3 – 5 years divided between two sections.

The Staff ratios here are 1:8, one member of Staff to eight Children. This ratio helps to stop Bullying before it starts and Children grow in confidence faster, as the Staff are more attentive.

This is where our Children develop their skills for the big wide world ahead of them. It is a vital stepping stone for the Children, and we get a lot of joy from them with some of the wonderful comments they make.

This Room focuses on Curriculum Play.

Ladybird Red Room 3 – 5 Years

This room is open plan, and adjoining the Blue Room.

The Staff work well with the Chidren in this room to ensure they have lots of creative time.

Lots of stories are read in the book corner to attentive Children, expanding their imaginations.

Every effort is made to grow the Childrens confidence and creativity and ensure they are happy when they are in nursery.

Caterpillar Room – After School Club – Holiday Club

In the Caterpillar Room the Children from surrounding local Schools come to play, have fun, or just chill out after a long day at school.

This room cares for up to 19 Children from the ages of 5 – 13 years of age. The After School club is open from 3pm to 6pm from Monday to Friday as the nursery and school weeks run.

The Holiday Club runs when Schools close for half-term and full-term, yes we are open throughout the Summer Holidays, why not come take a look and see what we have to offer.
